The Zim Zemeral Big Band has played for three Presidential Inaugural Balls as well as Inaugural Balls for the State of Maryland.

The Big Band was also featured in Barry Levinson's movie "Avalon" and several selections from the band's albums were heard during the film.

Many accomplished artists have been accompanied by Zim Zemeral throughout the years. Among them: Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, The Four Tops, The Spinners, Jack Jones, Phyllis Diller, Eddie Arnold, Maureen McGovern, and Rosemary Clooney. Recently the band backed up The Temptations during the Ocean City Summerfest.

In addition to these events, the band performs public concerts at various locations throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania and features many talented musicians such as Gene Bonner, Wayne Hudson, Bobbie McCleary, and Rhoades Whitehill.
